Privacy Policy

Data we collect

• Account data. Your email address, which you provide when you sign in with a one-time email code, and an optional display name. We use these to identify your account and communicate with you.
• Connected channel data.When you connect a channel on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, or Kick, we receive read-only profile and audience information from that platform's official API using access you explicitly grant, such as your channel or account ID, handle, title, and public follower or subscriber count. For Twitch and Kick we also read your live viewer count while you are streaming. Kick exposes no follower count, so a Kick channel only ever contributes live viewer numbers.
• OAuth tokens. The access and refresh tokens that let us read your follower counts on your behalf. These are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, are never displayed to you, never written to our logs, and never shared with anyone.
• Audience snapshots. Periodic readings of your follower or subscriber count, used to animate your crowd and show how your audience changes over time.
• Anonymous visitor heartbeats. When people view a public crowd you have shared, we record anonymous, aggregate presence signals to animate live visitors. These heartbeats are not tied to a named individual and are not used to identify anyone.
• Verification and security events. A record of connect, refresh, revoke, and delete actions (which may include IP address and user agent), kept to secure your account and protect the integrity of the platform.
• Billing data. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record (see below). We store only a customer reference and your subscription status, never your card number or full billing details.
• Location you choose.If you place your crowd on the map, we store the place you searched for and its coordinates. This is a place you type and pin yourself. Realvue never reads your device's location, and never asks your browser for it.
• A centre figure you upload. If you upload an image to stand at the centre of your crowd, we store that image and show it on your public crowd page. Uploads are checked automatically before they are shown, which means the image is sent to our moderation provider (see Sub-processors).
• Website usage.We keep a first-party count of visits to understand what is working: the pages viewed, the page you arrived on, the site that referred you, your browser's user-agent string, and a random visitor id stored in your browser. This is our own measurement. It is not shared with any analytics company, and in the EEA and UK it only happens if you accept it (see below).

Cookies and local storage

Realvue does not run advertising cookies, and there are no third-party trackers or ad pixels anywhere on the site.

• Strictly necessary. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie during a channel connection to protect the OAuth exchange. These cannot be turned off without breaking sign-in.
• Measurement. A random visitor id and a session id stored in your browser, used only for the first-party visit counting described above.

In the EEA and the UK we ask before writing the measurement identifiers, and nothing is written unless you accept. Rejecting deletes what was already stored, and you can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie choices" link in the site footer. Outside those regions the measurement identifiers are set by default, and you can still clear them from your browser.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out: we write no measurement identifiers, record no visit, and do not show you the cookie banner, without you having to click anything.

How we access and use YouTube data

Realvue uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and you can review Google's Privacy Policy.

We request only the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly scope. Using this read-only access we retrieve, for channels you connect, your subscriber count and channel metadata(such as channel ID, title, and handle). We use this data for a single purpose: to display your own audience back to you as a crowd visualization within Realvue. We do not access your videos, comments, watch history, private data, or any other user's data.

Realvue's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Userequirements. Specifically, we do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide or improve Realvue's user-facing features (for example, our database host) or as required by law, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

You can revoke Realvue's access to your YouTube data at any time, either by disconnecting the channel inside Realvue or from your Google account's security settings.

Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, and Kick data

When you connect an Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, or Kick account, we access only the read-only profile, follower-count, and, for Twitch and Kick, live viewer information you authorize through that platform's official login. As with YouTube, we use this data solely to show your own audience back to you, and you can disconnect the account at any time to revoke our access.

How we use your data

• To provide, operate, and secure the Realvue service.
• To visualize your real audience and reflect changes to it over time.
• To manage your subscription and account.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• To respond to your requests and provide support.
• To measure, in aggregate, how the site is being used so we can improve it.

We never sell your personal data, and we do not use your connected-channel data for advertising or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

If we contacted you and you are not a Realvue user

We keep a list of creators we may introduce Realvue to. This section explains it, because you have rights over that data even though you never signed up.

• What we hold. Information already public on your channel: your platform, channel id, handle, display name, profile and avatar URLs, language, category, follower and live-viewer counts, and links you list. Where you have published a contact address on your own channel page, we may also hold that email address.
• Where it came from. The public directories and APIs of the streaming platforms themselves, or an address you published on your own profile. We do not buy lists and we do not guess addresses.
• Why. Our legitimate interest in telling relevant creators that a tool built for them exists. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it stops all further contact permanently. You can also object to this processing outright, or ask us to erase your entry, by emailing info@realvue.to. We will action it and keep only the minimum needed to make sure we do not contact you again.

Legal basis (GDPR)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your personal data on the following bases: performance of our contract to provide you the service; your consent when you connect a channel and, in the EEA and UK, when you accept measurement identifiers; and our legitimate interest in keeping the platform secure and free of fraud and in reaching creators who may want the product. You may withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting a channel, changing your cookie choices, or deleting your account, and you may object to anything we do on the basis of legitimate interest.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale, and because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, or to request a data export or deletion, email info@realvue.to. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Retention and deletion

You can disconnect any channel at any time; doing so revokes Realvue's access token at the platform and marks the channel deleted. You can delete your entire account from Settings, or by emailing info@realvue.to.

On account deletion we perform a soft delete immediately, your data stops being used and is no longer visible, and we permanently purge your account data, connected channels, OAuth tokens, audience snapshots, uploaded figures, and the location you pinned within 30 days. Append-only security records may be retained in de-identified form only for as long as needed to prevent fraud and abuse or to meet a legal obligation.

First-party visit records are kept for up to 400 days and then deleted automatically. Live-visitor heartbeats are discarded within an hour.

Deleting your Realvue account does not by itself cancel a paid subscription, because billing is held by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Cancel from Settings, Manage billing before deleting, or email us and we will help.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of trusted providers, each of which processes data only to deliver its part of the service:

• Resend: delivery of sign-in codes and account emails.
• Neon: encrypted database hosting.
• Vercel: application hosting.
• Lemon Squeezy: payments and, as merchant of record, billing and tax handling.
• OpenAI: automated image moderation. If you upload a centre figure, that single image is sent to OpenAI's moderation endpoint so it can be checked for unlawful or explicit content before it appears on a public page. Nothing else about you is sent with it: no name, no email, no account id. OpenAI states that data submitted to its moderation endpoint is not used to train its models. We keep the verdict against your upload so a figure is never re-checked needlessly.
• Sentry: error monitoring, when enabled. Realvue sends no session recordings and no performance traces to Sentry; crash reports carry the page, the error, and its stack, with credentials stripped out before they leave the server.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): turns a place you type into coordinates. Only the text you searched for is sent.
• OpenFreeMap: serves the map tiles your browser draws. Loading a map means your browser requests tiles from OpenFreeMap directly, so it sees the request.

Payments

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. This means Lemon Squeezy, not Realvue, collects and handles your payment details and is responsible for billing and applicable taxes, under Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy. Realvue receives only a customer reference and your subscription status. Our refund policy explains when money comes back.

Reporting content, and copyright

Public crowd pages carry things creators choose: a username, a display name, and an uploaded centre figure. If any of it breaks our rules or uses your work or identity without permission, tell us. Use the report form for content, impersonation, or abuse, and the copyright page for a formal takedown notice or counter-notice.

International transfers

Realvue is operated by a United States company, and our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards and the protections offered by our providers.

Children

Realvue is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of Realvue after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
